Isaiah 6

I. I Will See God For Who He Really Is

''In the year that King Uzziah died.'' (Isaiah 6:1, ESV)

''I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne'' (Isaiah 6:1, ESV)

''I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple.'' (Isaiah 6:1, ESV)

''Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called to another and said: ''Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!''  (Isaiah 6:2-3, ESV)

''Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.'' (Isaiah 6:3, ESV)

''The whole earth is full of His glory.'' (Isaiah 6:3, ESV)

II. I Will See Me The Way I Really Am

''And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: 'Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!''' (Isaiah 6:4-5, ESV)

''I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips.''  (Isaiah 6:5, TNIV)

''Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: 'Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.’'' (Isaiah 6:6-7, ESV)

III. I Will See Others The Way They Really Are

''And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' Then I said, ''Here I am! Send me.''
(Isaiah 6:8, ESV)

''Who will go for us?'' (Isaiah 6:8, ESV)

''Here am I! Send me.'' (Isaiah 6:8, ESV)

''And he said, 'Go, and say to this people: '''Keep on hearing, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.''' Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.'' Then I said, 'How long, O Lord?' And he said: 'Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste.''  (Isaiah 6:9-11, ESV)

''But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, ''You shall be holy, for I am holy.''
(1 Peter 1:15-16, ESV)

PUTTING TIME ON MY SIDE   Matthew 11:28-30

''Then Jesus said, 'Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you. Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.''' Matthew 11:28-30 (NLT)

1. TO GET TIME ON MY SIDE SAY NO TO TO-DO LISTS AND YES TO PRIORITIES.

''Come to Me.''

''Take My yoke upon you for My yoke fits perfectly.''

''Reverence for God adds hours to each day.''  Proverbs 10:27 (LB)

2. NEVER MISS A DIVINE APPOINTMENT.

''We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.''
Proverbs 16:9 (NLT)

3. NEVER LET PAST REGRETS OR FUTURE WORRIES KEEP YOU FROM LIVING IN THE PRESENT.
''Let Me teach you, because I am humble and gentle.''

''Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.''  Ephesians. 5:15-16 (NIV)

4. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO LEAVE YOUR DAILY BURDENS WITH CHRIST.

''Come to Me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.''

''The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.''   Lamentations 3:22, 23 (NLT)
