I Need A Miracle  “Should I Welcome Storms In My Life?”

1. Trust The Promise Of Jesus

Mark 4:35 On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side.”

2. Trust In The Presence Of Jesus

36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat, just as he was. And other boats were with him.

37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling.

Matthew 8:23-24 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by the waves; but he was asleep.

38 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”

3. Trust in The Power Of Jesus

39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Mark 5:1 They came to the other side of the sea…

THERE IS NO NEED TO FEAR WHEN JESUS IS NEAR

I Need A Miracle week 3

OUR PROBLEMS ARE GOD’S POSSIBILITIES

1. Look To Jesus When You Have A Problem

John 2:1-3
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

2. Always Talk With Jesus About the Problem

3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”

4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”

SHE KNEW WHAT MATTERS TO ME MATTERS TO JESUS!

3. Trust Jesus To Handle The Problem
5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”
John 13:17 If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.
6 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.
7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. 9 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10 and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.”

1.  Jesus Will Ask Us For Something We Have

John 6:1-4 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand.

John 6:5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?”

2.  Always Give Jesus What He Asks

John 6:7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.”

John 6:8-9 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”

3.  Jesus Will Always Use What You Give Him

John 6:10-11 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number. 11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.

4. He Always Blesses What He Uses

John 6:12-13 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” 13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten.

I Need A Miracle

Matthew 15:30-31 And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, 31 so that the crowd wondered, when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing. And they glorified the God of Israel.

PURPOSE #1
1. Authentication
2. Revelation
Matthew 12:28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

John 10:31-33 The Jews picked up stones again to stone him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?” 33 The Jews answered him, “It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.”

37 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”

3. Glorification
Matthew 9:8  When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

1.     A miracle is not always necessarily from God.
2.    A miracle is not necessarily from God just because it helps people.

Matthew 11  “Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?”

Matthew 11:4-5 And Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John what you hear and see: 5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
